Third Generation
My name is Kleinberg Fletcher Tabel Tuyac, the eldest son of Clarissa
J. Tabel. I was born on August 13, 1992 and I think my generation is
the coolest (a bit biased, actually). I grew up as a kid to adulthood
in the 90s up to now 2012. Compared to my mom and my grandmother, the
IT developments in my generation reached to a very high degree.
IT developments changed from the simple Bayle and groovy discos to
unlimited source of entertainment such as video games and kinect,
from simple letters and pen pal to social networking sites such as
the Facebook, from limited source of information to unlimited source
of information, from the typewriter to the computer and the internet.
My generation enjoys a variety of entertainment powered by IT
equipments. I witnessed how video games evolved from the simple brick
game in the 90s to the Game Boy in the early 2000 and to the portable
PSP (Play Station Portable). My first electronic toy was the brick game. I enjoyed playing tetris and racing with my brickgame. I witnessed the dramatic progress in IT when the brickgame was overturned by the Game Boy. I used to have my own Game Boy Color way
back in elementary. I just love how I play my Pokémon using my Game
Boy every day. As soon as a few years, the Nintendo DS supplanted the glory of the Game Boy, a year later after the arrival of the DS, the PSP was introduced to the world.
Way back ten years ago when I was ten, I remembered watching my favorite movies like the Toy Story 1 and 2, by 2010 the trilogy was complete with the coming of the Toy Story 3. I noticed how improvements in Information Technology made the Toy Story 3 in 3D! Before, back in 2004, when I was in Grade 6 I had a walk-man. Before, when you have a walk-man, everybody would envy you, now in the span of only eight years you become a laughing stock. The walk-man I had when compared to the modern Ipod becomes an ancient relic.
As young as twelve years old, my mother bought me my first cellular phone. Back in 2004, the cellphone was considered a luxury. Only executives were fitting to own a cellphone. Now, I was shocked to see a kid as young as seven years old owning a cellphone. In a span of eight years cellphones are needs not wants. I enjoy using cellphone because it helps me keep in touch with my family and the people far away in a click of a button.
Social networking sites progressed the long distance communications advancements. In comparison with the old fashioned letters used before, social networking sites like the Facebook helps people communicate with the people as far as US - Philippines. I can easily communicate with the people close to me abroad because of the Facebook.
School and research assignments are now easily accessed with the help of the internet. In contrast with my mother's time, I can easily make my research and information gathering for school works in the Internet without browsing any book in the library.

Information
gathering in my generation climaxed. News and current events are
simply available in the Internet sites like Yahoo. The Yahoo news
offers free news articles written by skillful writers. News were
still popular in the broadcast on the radios or viewed in the
Televisions. Their are also channels in the television which specializes only on news rather than having one schedule per day like the TV Patrol in ABS - CBN. Channels such as the BBC gives 24 hours of news and current events.
